දකුණු ආසියාවේ විශාලතම ජාතික දුම්රිය කෞතුකාගාරය මෙම වසර තුළ විවෘත කිරීමට කටයුතු කරන බව ප්‍රවාහණ සේවා කළමනාකරණ අමාත්‍ය මහින්ද අමරවීර මහතා පැවැසීය.
මරදානේ දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට ආසන්න ඉඩමක දැනට ඉදි කිරීම් කටයුතු අවසන් වෙමින් තිබෙන එම දුම්රිය කෞතුකාගාරය පසුගියදා අමාත්‍යවරයා විසින් නිරීක්ෂණයට ලක් කළේය.
ජාතික දුම්රිය කෞතුකාගාරයේ ඉදි කිරීම් කටයුතු කඩිනමින් අවසන් කිරීමෙන් අනතුරුව එය ශ්‍රී ලංකා දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුවට බාර දීමට නියමිතය. එමෙන්ම දැනට කඩුගන්නාවේ එක් ප්‍රදේශයක ඉදි කර තිබෙන දුම්රිය කෞතුකාගාරයේ අඩංගු වන අංශ ද මෙම කෞතුකාගාරයට ගෙන ඒමට අවශ්‍ය නම් ඒ් සඳහා සුදුසු පියවර ගන්නා ලෙසත් අමාත්‍යවරයා දුම්රිය සාමාන්‍යාධිකාරිවරයාට උපදෙස් දුන්නේය.
මෙම ජාතික දුම්රිය කෞතුකාගාරය මෙම වසරේ අවසන් කාර්තුව වනවිට විවෘත කිරීමට හැකියාව ඇතැයි දුම්රිය සාමාන්‍යාධිකාරිවරයා අමාත්‍ය මහින්ද අමරවීර මහතා හට දැනුම් දුන්නේය.
Task Force on Transport Services has been established by the Hon. Minister of Transport Services Management to intervene in the planning, implementation, operation and enforcement of transport services through the coordination of all the agencies operating in the transport service sector of Sri Lanka. The main task of this committee is to establish a mechanism for gradual recovery of the sector, especially during the period of control of the Covid-19 epidemic, as the transport sector is a key component of normalizing the country's economic and social affairs. It is expected to plan and direct this work in accordance with the instructions and enforcement rules of the health authorities. Accordingly, the main function of this committee is to:
- Plan the transport strategy to recover transport services (in the districts / between provinces) under the guidance of the health authorities with the control stage of the Covid epidemic.
- Integrated transport planning through coordination of all the provincial authorities and all stakeholder agencies involved in transport services
- Preparing guidelines to be followed by transport operators in compliance with health guidelines.
- Formulating and informing the rules and guidelines to be used by passengers.
- Making arrangements to establish a follow up mechanism to monitor improvements of day-to-day transport operation.

දිවයිනේ සෑම දිස්ත්‍රික්කයක් සඳහාම ප්‍රවාහන ගැටළු පිළිබඳව ප්‍රවාහන අමාත්‍යාංශයට වග කියන සම්බන්ධිකරණ උපාධිදාරී නිළධාරීයෙකු පත් කිරීමට ප්‍රවාහන සේවා කළමණාකරණ රාඡ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය දිළුම් අමුණුගම මැතිතුමා විසින් කටයුතු කෙරේ.
ඒ අනුව 2020-02-28 දින දිස්ත්‍රික්ක 19ක් සඳහා උපාධිධාරී සම්බන්ධිකරණ නිළධාරී 19 දෙනෙකු සඳහා පත්වීම් ලබා දීම ප්‍රවාහන සේවා කළමණාකරණ රාඡ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය දිළුම් අමුණුගම මැතිතුමා විසින් ප්‍රවාහන සේවා කළමණාකරණ රාඡ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය කාර්යාලයේදී සිදු කෙරිණ.ශ්‍රී ලංකා ගමනාගමන මණ්ඩලය, දුම්රිය දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව, ජාතික ගමනාගමන කොමිසන් සභාව, මොටර් රථ ප්‍රවාහන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව හා පුද්ගලික ප්‍රවාහන සේවා සම්බන්ධීකරණය කරමින් ජනතාවට ප්‍රවාහන කටයුතු සම්බන්ධව පවතින ගැටළු පිළිබඳව සොයා බලා වාර්තා සකස් කොට කඩිනමින් අමාත්‍යංශ වෙත යොමු කිරීමටත්, කඩිනම් පියවර ගැනීමටත් මෙම නිළධාරීන්ට පැවරේ.
විශේෂයෙන් නගර ආශ්‍රිතව ඇති වාහන තදබදය පිළිබඳව, වාහන ගාල් කිරීම පිළිබඳව, මෝටර් රථ ප්‍රවාහන දෙපාර්තමේන්තුව මගින් සිදු කරනු ලබන රියදුරු බලපත් ලබා ගැනීම, වෛද්‍ය සහතික ලබා ගැනීම, රියදුරු බලපත් අළුත් කර ගැනීම සම්බන්ධව මහජනතාවට ඇති ගැටළුද ජාතික ගමනාගමන කොමිසන් සභාව සම්බන්ධ වීමෙන් පෞද්ගලික බස් රථ පිළිබඳව මහජනතාවට ඇති ගැටළු ආදිය සොයා බලමින් ජනතාව වෙත සහනයක් ලබා දීමේ අරමුණෙන් මේ පිළිබඳව විමර්ශනය කරමින් අමාත්‍යංශ දැනුවත් කිරීම මෙම නිළධාරීන්ගේ වගකීමයි.
එමෙන්ම අනෙකුත් දිස්ත්‍රික්ක සඳහාද උපාධිධාරීන් මෙම කටයුත්ත සඳහා කඩිනමින් යොදා ගැනීමට කටයුතු කරන බවද ප්‍රවාහන සේවා කළමණාකරණ රාඡ්‍ය අමාත්‍ය දිළුම් අමුණුගම මහතා වැඩිදුරටත් ප්‍රකාශ කරයි.
